GET SOCIAL

GET UP and GET OUT, NORFOLK!

Rally the crew for an overdue catch-up. Gab with your bestie over a drink and a snack. Celebrate, dance, sing along, roll the ball, and hit the high score. Today’s the day to get social!

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

Credit Card Pre-authorization Policy: Circuit Social sends a $25 credit card pre-authorization when each guest starts their tab, confirming that the card is activated and has sufficient funds available. Pre-authorizations are common among businesses that provide a product or service prior to receiving payment (ex. hotels, car rentals, gas stations, and bars typically pre-authorize amounts ranging from $1-$300). The pre-authorization is not a charge. When you close your tab, the hold is released back to your bank/card company and will be “dropped,” depending on their procedures, within 3-7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

If you would like to skip the pre-authorization, Circuit Social also offers a prepaid card option.

GENERAL DISCLAIMERS
  • Circuit Social does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal property.
  • The Tap Master and any Circuit team member may refuse a Beer Card or reactivation to any guest who is visibly intoxicated.
  • Disorderly conduct, disrespect of our games or tap wall, or any offensive or aggressive behavior toward Circuit Social staff or guests are strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Any guest displaying disorderly conduct will be removed from Circuit Social and will not be permitted to re-enter for the remainder of the evening. Depending on the severity of the conduct, it may result in a permanent ban from Circuit Social at the discretion of Circuit management.
CAN I BRING THE KIDS?

Family Friendly Hours:

Tuesday – Sunday: Open – 9PM. 21+ after 9PM

During family friendly hours, guests under 18 must be accompanied by a legal adult at all times. Guardians are limited to 5 underage guests. All guests under the age of 21 must adhere to the Family Friendly curfew. Beyond these posted hours, Circuit Social is open to guests 21+ with valid ID only. Please note that Circuit Social is a bar environment designed with a focus on accommodating our adult guests.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

No. As much as we love your canine companions, Circuit Social is designed for people! Our environment is not suited for all temperaments of dog and do not want to enable any unsafe situations for dog or human. Service dogs are always permitted.

WHERE DO I PARK?

Street parking is available nearby! It is free after posted hours. If you are unable to find a Unicorn Parking Spot within close distance, there is $1/3hr parking available in the mall parking lot behind us.

You can eliminate all parking woes from your experience by choosing to walk, bike, carpool or take advantage of ride-sharing options such as Uber, Lyft, HRT, or The Tide.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?

No. Virginia ABC strictly prohibits any alcohol not served at Circuit Social from being brought onto our property. Violations will result in immediate removal and confiscation. If you need help finding a beverage option to suit your taste, please find our Tap Master and they will guide you toward something you’re sure to enjoy. If you visit with an appetite, we’ll be happy to prepare something fresh from our menu. Exceptions may be arranged for large parties and private event rentals.

Please note: we understand that Norfolk is overflowing with beverages for sale to go from local breweries, cideries, distilleries, and more. If you arrive with a bottle, growler, crowler, or any other alcoholic beverage purchased from one of our neighbors, you will be required to check it with our staff at the check-in counter. It will be kept cold if brought in that way when space allows. Please remember to pick it up before leaving, or the staff will consider it a tip for exceptional service!

HOW DO I POUR MY DRINK?

Great question! This one is fundamental to Circuit Social experience. Here’s how it works:

  • Insert your Social Card in the reader slot in the wall above the tap of your choice. Leave it.
  • Place your glass under the spout.
  • Pull the tap lever toward you, as far as it will go (gently, please!).
  • Pressure is intentionally set to pour slowly, decreasing the amount of head or loss from over pouring.
  • Pours are charged by the ounce! When you have poured your desired amount, push the tap lever back toward the wall as far as it will go (again, gently!).
  • Carry your Social Card with you until your next pour.

Additional notes: Social Cards will automatically deactivate when 32 oz. have been poured (for use at the tap wall only, you can keep gaming!). Please see the Tap Master to reactivate your card. The Tap Master is always nearby to assist you at the tap wall (pouring techniques, kicked kegs, foamy pours, etc.), and to offer insight & suggestions to suit your taste. The Tap Master and any Circuit Social team member may refuse a tab to be opened on your Social Card or reactivation of the card to any guest who is visibly intoxicated.

WHEN IS LAST CALL?

Last call is given 45 minutes prior to closing and tap wall service ends 30 minutes prior to closing. No beverages may be poured after tap wall service ends (please keep an eye on the clock & plan accordingly). This policy allows for our guests to enjoy their last pour at a safe & leisurely page, and for our staff to execute their duties in a timely manner at the end of the day.

I LOST MY BEER CARD / LEFT WITHOUT CLOSING MY TAB. WHAT NOW?

If you lose your Social Card, don’t panic! Locate a Circuit Social team member. We will block the card from further use, and you may either close your existing tab or transfer your existing tab to a new Social Card. There is no cost to replace the Social Card in this instance.

If you forget to check our team will close your tab to the total amount accrued

DO YOU HAVE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS?

Yes!

Drinks: our draft list is on constant rotation and we always have a selection of craft ciders and wine available. Cider is gluten free, as are most wines (please double-check to be safe!). Options are slim for gluten free beer, so we’ll be on the lookout and do our best to get our hands on some if/when options are available. As a note: Stone Delicious IPA is gluten free, despite not being advertised as such!

Food: all gluten free options on our menu are notated with a “(gf)” within the description. All of our food is cooked on the same surfaces, so please keep that in mind for those with more severe dietary restrictions.

I’M HAVING AN ISSUE WITH A GAME. HELP!

If you are experiencing ANY sort of technical issue with any of our games, please find a Circuit Social team member as fast as you can! Bonus points if you find a game tech dedicated to keeping our games up and running. Lost credits will be replaced, we’ll get to work, and the game will be made available for play as soon as possible.

Note: some of our arcade games date back as far as the 70’s. Games may be down for just a few minutes or up to a few weeks depending on the severity of the issue and if replacement parts are required.

IS THERE A COAT CHECK?

No. Coat racks are available near the entrance that are available for public use. Circuit Social does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage or any personal property.

I LEFT MY _____ AT CIRCUIT. DID YOU FIND IT? WHEN CAN I GET IT?

If you leave something behind, please feel free to contact us at info@thecircuitsocial.com or via Facebook Messenger. If we find it, we will hold it for a reasonable amount of time. Unclaimed items will be either disposed of or donated to a local thrift store after a few weeks. You may pick up your lost item during any posted public hours. Special arrangements may be made to pick up outside of public hours on a case by case basis. We are unable to ship items if you traveled to visit us.

*Please keep in mind that the responses to these questions may not apply to you based on your situation and differences in resolving any issue may occur at the discretion of management. We will always do our best to work with you and ensure your time spent with us is fun, productive, and safe.
